Winter Write-On Competition Information Session Scheduled

The staff of the Widener Journal of Law, Economics & Race will host an open information session about the Second Annual Winter Write-On Competition on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. in Polishook Room 203 on the Delaware campus and from 5 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. in Room A178 on the Harrisburg campus.

A simultaneous videocast is planned for the first part of the session and the second part, a Q&A period, will be conducted in-person on the respective campuses.

Fall 2008 Midyear Competition

 Midyear Membership Competition
The Widener Journal of Law, Economics and Race is pleased to announce its Midyear Membership Competition.

Eligibility

The competition is open to:

  • 2RD, 3ED, and mid-year admission students
  • Students must have a 2.7 or better GPA as of the end of the Spring 2008 semester

Requirements

Students can write a research paper on a topic of their choosing, or submit a current or past seminar paper, of publishable quality, that conforms to the following formatting requirements:

  • 12 point font Times New Roman double spaced
  • 1 inch margins
  • 10 point font foot notes in law review style double spaced

Competition papers are due by 7:00 PM January 5.

Papers must be emailed to WJLER@mail.widener.edu with the subject heading: Midyear Membership Competition.

Successful students will be notified in enough time to add the journal for credit.

Eligible students are encouraged to participate.
