2011 – 2012 Candidates for Office. Circuit governors for the 2011-2012 year were elected at the fifteen circuit meetings in February and March. The new governors will take office in March at the Law Student Division Spring Board of Governors Meeting. Also at the Spring Board of Governors meeting, the Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary Treasurer for 2011-2012 will be elected and the nomination for the Law Student Division Representative to the ABA Board of Governors will be confirmed. These national officers will take office in August at the Annual Meeting in Toronto. National Mental Health Day – March 28, 2011. The ABA Law Student Division’s National Mental Health Day serves to increase awareness of mental health issues among law students. Please invite organizations at your school to take advantage of this day to highlight the importance of mental health awareness in the legal profession. Initiatives may include discussions with mental health professionals and the resources that exist in the law school and legal communities; distributing informational materials to students; and providing programs about navigating character and fitness.
