The American Association for Justice (AAJ) (f/k/a ATLA) Widener Chapter held its second annual Golf Outing on Friday, October 8, 2010. The event was held at the Deerfield Golf and Tennis Club in Newark, Delaware. Coincidentally, the SBA is looking at Deerfield as one of several possible venues for the 2011 Barristers’ Ball. Vice Dean and Professor of Law, J. Patrick Kelly, who is also the Faculty Advisor for the International Law Society, attended the event.
The event was coordinated by AAJ Vice President (and SBA Treasurer) Joseph Siclari and AAJ Treasurer, Mary Lenti. Professor of Law, Louise Lark Hill was to teach an Ethics CLE program which unfortunately had to be cancelled, but AAJ V.P. Joseph Siclari stated that they were very grateful that she was willing to contribute her time and expertise to this event. Professor Hill attended the AAJ’s first Golf Outing in September of 2009 where she a member of a team that won second place. Prizes were awarded for Closest to the Pin, Farthest Drive and Best Score overall (Free foursome at Deerfield).
